Street Corner is something I was putting together for the film we’ve been working on.
We’ve hit some delay with the film production but I thought we could go ahead and release the track anyway as a separate release.

“Minimal” is the word here.

I was shooting for something with a dark, quiet mood without being drawing too much attention. Something that could work a feeling in the background without interfering too much with the visuals that would be showing on the screen.

When we took a look at the old site, there were several problems that we were specifically looking to address in a redesign. One of those issues in particular was the fact that the content we were generating was only available to people who regularly visited the site on a week to week basis. However, we realize that we all have busy lives and it’s difficult to remember to check any particular web page regularly every single week without fail. Things come up and life gets in the way sometimes.

So this new site focuses a great deal on the ability to syndicate the content across the internet. Setting up a podcast mechanism helps in doing this.

The chilljam.com podcast is just another great way for you to be able to listen to the music.

Well, quite a lot of background work has been going on in the last couple of weeks and we now have a brand new website set up. This site allows for much easier syndication of the songs, videos and other content we post up each week, making it easier for you to be able to access the material in whichever way you prefer. Within the next couple of days, we should have some podcasting capabilities set up so that you’ll be able to download the music we put out there through a subscription method rather than having to remember to always come back and check the page on a week to week basis.
Additionally, we’ve added some great new “Chilljam Radio” players to contain all of the archived material so that those of you who wish to listen to the music in sequence are able to do so. Personally, I love to listen to music while I work through the day on my Mac. Our previous page didn’t really allow for a good way to listen to more than a single song at a time. These new players now allow you to listen through entire albums, or even listen through the entire collection all at once.
Please feel free to comment and post feedback so we can continue to build the site in a way that fits your needs.

Now, as to this week’s song. We have another video for you. This week’s video includes the same set of lyrics as last week’s but is a session from the following week. Rather than play at Neil’s house, as we have been for quite awhile, we played this song at Jeremy’s house, with completely different instruments so the effect is a completely different feel from the previous version of the song. Please enjoy!

There are some tough times happening for a lot of people lately. Everyone’s looking for why the economy seems to be melting down.
Personally, I think the source is simple excess.
This song is a personification of excess.
Excess in it’s most disgusting outfit going out for a night on the town.

An example of a life lived in an era where resources are unlimited.

Cucumber Wire Boat :: Free Music Podcast

A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I watched a hilarious movie called, Super High Me. The basis of the movie is that a comedian goes 30 days in row without smoking any marijuana. Then after experiencing 30 days sober, he smokes constantly for 30 straight days in a row.
In one of the scenes, the comedian has to undergo a memory test in which he is given 3 words at the beginning of the test that he needs to remember by the end of the session. While sober, he has trouble remembering the words by the end of the session, so during the period in which he smokes, he’s obsessed with the 3 words, cucumber, wire, and boat.
This was a hilarious scene and I just liked the words “cucumber”, “wire” and “boat” together. It sounded like an interesting surrealistic idea to start off writing a song with. So after the film, I wrote down these words quickly to describe a little surrealistic scene of the “Cucumber Wire Boat”.
Jeremy happened to have just written the music so when we got together that Sunday, I just ad-libbed the words I’d written over his production work.
