This is a beautiful mess.
By all accounts this song is a disaster. But somehow it seems to come together in an odd way. It sticks together like a mutating beast puking up its breakfast.
Not exactly a pop song, but it was a fun experiment integrating different iPad instruments and effects done in post-production.

Playing around with Reactable, an iPad application with an interesting approach to making music, I recorded Wallah. Lots of experimenting going on in here. There were times I wasn’t sure who was in control, me or the iPad.

This is a recording of me learning a new instrument. I purchased a copy of Ableton Live to play around with and as soon as I learned the where the gas pedal was, I went ahead and turned “record” on and this is what happened.

I love mad scientist experiments. I feel like I just created a monster.

This is a video taken and edited by our fellow banjo amigo Jim Stuby. He takes us on a bike ride through Cape Henlopen State Park. This song was recorded about a couple years ago. Jim has used our songs in a few of his videos, check out my personal favorite video taken at Henlopen Point at Cape Henlopen State Park in Deleware.

Here’s another one I’m currently working on with a break-beat that makes it sound like it’s skippin. I plan on adding some guitar and vocals and other sounds to this later on…stay tuned.

Here’s a funky one that’s still brewing. I used the Alesis QS6 for all the sounds on the track and then Matthew Hundley laid down some funky guitar chops over it. This track and Fast Pace are going to be included on the new album I hope to put together by the end of the summer.
